Layers of antique silk and French bias tape have been stitched down on a machine to replicate the straight lines and perfect construction of futuristic objects. Like a plant overtaking a ruin, layered shreds of tattered doily and lace trim are hand-sewn over the top and embellished with circular details- antique and vintage buttons, and beads in bone, glass and mother of pearl.
Backed in hand-dyed soft grey linen salvaged from 1930s napkins, this soft cuff measures 7.5 inches long and approx. 2 inches wide, made for a firm fit on most average size wrists.
