Color-coded heroines (and heroes—power rangers counts!) are so much fun. Sailor Moon, eat your heart out—these heroines made the world a better place using nothing but the power of color! I think some artists and designers might identify with that. The fun part of color-coded teams is that for kids, your favorite color is a matter of personal identity, so this could be a major deciding factor in your personal style. Which color were you? I was always the Orange one, but I was in love with Shy Violet because she looked so good in her nerdy 80s glasses, and Indigo because she wore pants!
Speaking of color-coded nostalgia, there's a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles print here:

The Gorgonist is Robin E Kaplan, children's book illustrator. I'm inspired by the kindly monsters and intricate woodsy creatures of my childhood favorites. I love Indie vinyl, classic kid lit, Tove Jansson, Japanese video games. Personality, charm, color, and storytelling fuel me.
