This show-stopping runway bib necklace is signed Stanley Hagler N.Y.C. and Ian St. Gielar. Stanley Hagler was born in the United States in 1923. In the late 1940s he briefly worked as a business advisor to Miriam Haskell, following which he began creating his own designs in the late 1950s. There are two designers associated with this company: Stanley Hagler from the 1950s, and Ian St. Gielar from 1989. Stanley Hagler retired in 1993 and died in 1996. Jewelry continues to be produced under Stanley Hagler & Company. His jewelry employs the finest materials and painstaking workmanship The marks from the 1950s are Stanley Hagler printed straight across an oval disc. After Hagler moved to Florida in 1983, the signature changed to Stanley Hagler N.Y.C on the curve of the oval. Jewelry with the tag Stanley Hagler NYC (with no periods) was designed by Ian St Gielar since Hagler's death in 1996. This particular set is signed Stanley Hagler N.Y.C. (and Ian St. Gielar), meaning that it was made between 1989 and 1996, before Hagler passed away. This jewelry is sought after and very collectible, scarce on the market and priced accordingly.

This set is another of my favorites in my jewelry collection. The colors and the design are out of this world! The collar portion of the necklace is woven. It consists of rows and rows of 6 mm pink rose crystal beads and 8 mm round faceted light yellow glass beads. The pattern is complex and intricate. The 10 mm round faceted beads in the lowest row of the necklace appear to be yellow vaseline glass beads. There are 15 dangles hanging from the collar portion of the necklace. These dangles consist of the same two types of yellow glass beads found in the woven portion of the necklace, and in addition round foiled dark pink lampwork glass beads. At the very bottoms of six of the dangles are intricately faceted diamond-shaped clear yellow and magenta lucite beads. I can't rave enough about this necklace. The matching earrings are AMAZING, hand-wired and decorated with crystal rhinestones. The earrings, 3 1/2 inches in total length, are remarkably light for their size. I should mention that the pads of these clip earrings have become a bit brittle, but that is easy to fix and certainly doesn't affect the value of the set.. The length of the innermost row of the necklace is just over 10 inches; the hook and extender add another 5 inches. This is a true bib/collar necklace.

This set will be shipped by priority mail with insurance. I am new to Etsy, but I have sold my handmade jewelry, vintage beads, and vintage jewelry on eBay for over ten years. On eBay I have over 6000 feedbacks, 100% of which are positive. If you read my Etsy profile, you will find that I have spent a significant part of my life searching the world for the very finest vintage beads and vintage jewelry. As an MIT professor who studies the brain, I know how to move into a new field and learn everything that I can about it, and that is what I have done in the field of vintage beads and jewelry. When I am not dreaming up experiments, I’m researching the background of the many treasures that I have collected. My collection of treasures allows me to offer three categories of items: my artisan jewelry that incorporates vintage crystal, glass, and Lucite beads; vintage necklaces, jewelry sets, and brooches; and vintage beads and findings.
