I made the little blown vessel, it hangs from the mobile, spinning and dancing, sometimes posing for pictures or to catch the sunlight. Using a oxygen/propane torch to melt pyrex glass, I blow the small form, it is about 2" in diameter. In the little jar is a bit of red moss, it is preserved so it will never die and it needs no watering.
(the preserved moss does not like to get wet, so this is an indoor only mobile)
I make glass mobiles - and I love to work with molten glass. This mobile is a fun combination of glass that I have fused in a kiln (the colorful discs) and glass that I have blown using a torch. This makes me happy.
