[Hey, I've marked this down for quicker sale -- save $100 till the end of the month only! --Bill]

Here is your chance to own one of the most versatile and very rarest of vintage Casio keyboards, the 1984 Casiotone CT-410v ! Please read on -- it is more like a vintage analog synth than a Casio toy keyboard.

The CT-410v is the full-sized keys version of the 49-key MT-400v. Also, it has built-in speakers / monitor, rather than the detachable speakers of the Casio MT400-v. I have owned and used both, and I prefer the convenience of this all-in-one, full-sized design.

Also, I am adding value to this sale by including two extra OEM items:

1) Casio AD-5U (the original AC adapter for this model, in original box, not shown; the 410v also accepts six D cell batteries.)

2) Casio VP-10 (an accessory for the high-end Casio VZ synth series, 1988 - 1990). Extremely rugged, in good working condition. I have just tested this and it sounds great as a volume swell foot pedal to add expressiveness to the 410v! It has two 1/4" output jacks, and two 1/4" input jacks. One input is labeled CV. It also has a min vol wheel.

Please note that I have owned my CT-410v for three years, and that it remains unmodified. When I received it, I spent over three hours opening it up, examining, and cleaning every possible crevice. Thus, it is VERY clean inside.

Cosmetically, it is in fine shape with minor blemishes -- please see my pictures. Also, the keys show some residue from Casio's stick-on musical note labels (C, G, E, F, G, A, B), which are long gone. During play, my fingers never felt a difference between this and the keys on similar keyboards. The control panel lacks two of the slider covers, but everything functions as it should. This unit is great for creating and playing fantastic sounds and textures.

Circuit benders / modders / gearheads: Here is your possible future, once you win this beauty!

- One excerpt from this extensive, informative article:
"The CT-410V/ MT-400V is by my knowledge the only Casio instrument with a genuine analogue synthesizer filter and analogue realtime sliders."

- But please read the article. The author is regarded widely as the de facto expert on "tablehooters" and he notes some differences between the sounds made by unmodified CT-410v's and MT-400v's. Your mileage may vary, of course.

At the link below, you can listen to some scales and a progression I recorded recently, using this unit:

- This is a very simple recording, all done with a single setting, without the volume pedal or any other effects. Nor am I a professional musician! Thus, I have not done justice to the versatility and creative possibilities of this instrument -- for demonstration purposes only.

Here is more detail, including real-time video footage, on YouTube:

- Note that he is running his machine thru filtering, whereas I am not -- just the basics.

I love my 410v, and I am only selling it now because I am moving soon and must downsize. Suffice to say that this solid instrument has never given me a moment of trouble.

SUMMARY: Don't miss this chance to enjoy a super-rare Casio synth with analog features!
