Serena the elegant seahorse has been roaming the ocean floor adorning herself with all the gorgeous seashells that she can find! I designed and created "Serena" - starting with a wood form which I painted off white and then covered with white ark shells,white and tan nautica shells, pearl abolone shells, among pong pearl shells, sea biscuits (mini sand dollars) and too many more to mention. Her eye is a beautiful natural starfish with a turquoise limpit center. She is 20" high and about 8" wide at her widest part and has been lightly lacquered in case she finds a home in a bath or on a porch. Pearl has a sturdy gator hanger on the back and will swim to you after being safely packaged, signed and dated by me, seashell artist Sandi Johnston.
