Inspired by the Palais Royal in brussels along with a lifelong fondness for insect and beetles, we have created an intensely dramatic, absolutely unique piece of wearable art.
We have hand selected and applied dozens and dozens of actual, genuine, real jewel beetle wings. The wings are exceptionally durable and rigid and hold their form perfectly. They texture is remarkable similar to formed plastic and the color is obviously beyond exquisite.
Each wing has it's own unique color tone, but all have a brilliant natural metallic shine which reflects a myriad of colors ranging from bright green to goldenrod yellow to deep cobalt blue. When viewed en masse the wings literally take on a mesmerizing life of their own, the colors shimmering and shining and virtually undulating - the hues delicately shifting depending on the light.
This is definitely a show piece and guaranteed to stop people in their tracks!
Please allow up to 2 weeks for completion, however we will strive to have your piece completed sooner.
This is essentially a couture piece, please care for it accordingly and wear it with care!
The interior has a silver finish, and will fit a variety of wrist sizes, from 5.5" (loose fit) to over 8". It is slightly adjustable, with the right gentle technique.
Measures just over 2" tall.
