On one side of this little ball locket is a Roman numeral clock, and on the other, a compass. The details are painted in pure black and white with a tiny brush & lots of concentration. The background is a rich, glossy oil enamel in a shade of deep steel blue.
The locket is antique, spherical, and may be worn open or closed. Diameter measures slightly less than a penny (think of a marble). Each locket comes from vintage stock and has its own bit of natural tarnish.
The chain is raw brass, measures approximately 20" and will darken to a vintage patina over time. Closed with a lobster clasp.
I like this one because it seems to encapsulate a sense of efficiency while actually serving no function at all, which seems to be true of many gadgets I'm drawn to...
Each locket comes in a decorative tin, bedded in tissue paper, and wrapped up nicely. Shipping is first class mail with delivery confirmation for domestic packages and first class with a customs form for international.
