The Cola 30 is handmade from thirty waste plastic 1.25 litre Coca Cola bottles.
Sarah collects the bottles locally from cafes and households then, after a good clean, she sandblasts them to make them turn from transparent to white. She then hand cuts and sculpts each bottle into the beautiful forms. The Coca Cola bottles are 'upcycled', being totally transformed making it almost impossible to tell what the lamp is made from.
Each of the thirty bottle sculptures is then attached to a polypropylene base and secured with their own bottle top.
A smaller version the Cola 10 can be found on this listing: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/72350062/cola-10-plastic-bottle-lampshade
The shade is available in different colours, after sandblasting Sarah dyes the bottles the different colours. The standard colours are turquoise, orange, purple, green, pale blue and white but if you would like a different colour then just contact us and this can be made at no extra charge.
