1 3/8in(35mm) diameter copper pendant
As I heat the copper it changes from coppery pink to purple to blue to green and so on through the color spectrum.......I can stop at any time and create the starburst effect through torch-tip control. I then polish the backs to raw copper and give both sides 3 coats of clear lacquer to prevent further oxidation and to give them a durable gloss finish. Finally they get a coat of car wax to protect the surfaces against skin oils and acids.
