Where do I begin? This dress is a dream come true for a collector. The quality of the workmanship is astounding. The fabric is luscious and the lining is robust and in excellent condition. It has generous seams, details such as boning and a waist cincher to give a smooth silhouette.
The train of the dress is one of those features that exemplify quality or couture craftsmanship. The fabric of the train is doubled so that both the topside and the underside are made of the same silk satin of the dress. (In other words, the underside of the train is not just the underside of the fabric, it is the same fabric that adorns the dress everywhere else.)
The hem of this dress has some soiling and there is one spot at the hem on the skirt from being worn. (see photo) Inside on the lining is some discoloration from being worn. I have not had this dress dry cleaned. These areas may come out with dry cleaning. They do not detract from the appearance or wearablity of this dress.
I have many more photos. Please send a convo to me if you would like to see additional photographs.
