The absolutely exquisite cover is a beautiful art nouveau inspired work of art - reminiscent of the fairy tale art of Aurthur Rackham and other Victorian art nouveau inspired artists of the period, featuring the now grown up Anne Shirley looking wistful in floaty white dress in a night time forest with glowing moon over her shoulder.
The book is in good antique condition and amazingly intact and sturdy for it's age. I have repaired and reinforced the spine and endpapers with professional book mending tape. The cover is slightly scuffed (pictured) and there are a few discoloured and scuffed spots on the back cover. There is a bookplate inside the cover.
