Patchwork balloon back chair

An extremely elegant Victorian chair with lovely carved detail, one of a pair rescued from obscurity. This one has been painted and lightly 'aged' in very dark grey, reupholstered and covered in a mixture of mainly velvet fabrics, mostly by Designers Guild, in a palette of hot pinks, lime greens, grey and black (much brighter in reality than we seem to be able to capture in the photos); trimmed with fuschia velvet. As with almost all of our pieces, this is a one-off, unique item of furniture.
