This sweet gem was cut by Gemstone cutter Peter Torraca, and it's a emerald cut green beryl, 4x6mm. It is a little too green to be considered an aquamarine, and a little too light for an emerald. It's beautifully cut and beautifully clear.
The beryl family includes Emerald, Aquamarine, Morganite, and a range of greens as well as colorless minerals. It's a 7.5-8 on the MOHS scale.
