She was born into a family of pedal loom weavers, and the loom she currently uses previously belonged to her grandmother. Her specialties include hand loomed woolen rugs and ponchos, with natural dyes whose ingredients she purchases in Oaxaca. She also creates simpler work such as table runners, blankets and shawls.
We created a special line of shawls and blankets with her out of 100% natural cotton with bright fun colors perfect for summer and spring. They're great for the beach, picnics, couch, also for your bed (thats how I use mine).
This particular hand-woven blanket is 93 x 63 inches with a hand knotted fringe which is about 4 inches long. The stripes are white and color Turquoise. Each stripe has a subtle yet intricate design woven into the pattern.
Hand wash in cold water line dry, or dry clean. Can be machine washed in light cycle in cold water. Do not put in dryer because of shrinkage.
