I washed the fleece myself and hand kettle dyed the Cotswold Sheep curls with professional acid dye so this fiber is very clean. You might run across a tiny bit of veggie matter but it will fall out during carding and spinning.
These wool locks are very clean and have marvelous crimp. They come from top quality award winning "Show Fleeces" and measure from approximately 4" - 5" in length.
These curls locks are wonderful for doll hair, felting, needle felting, or adding texture and dimension to your spinning projects. They can also be hand carded or drum carded into rologs or batts for spinning to create beautiful natural tones in hand spun yarn.
I use Cotswold curls/locks to enhance many of my spinning projects and fiber art batts. They come from one of my favorite ranches back east so my friend selects only the very best.
