The heavy glass shell has a frosted coating on the inside, which is flaked off in a few small areas. The glass is threaded at the open end to screw onto an aluminum base, which is also threaded to accept a light socket.
This listing is for the glass shell and metal base only. The light socket, cord and bulb are not included. This safe light will screw onto a standard exterior-threaded light socket.
