I received the cane this afternoon. It is simply beautiful. For you, as an artist, to take a concept that I had in my head and to execute it so perfectly, just amazes me. Thank you so much for all you did. It is greatly appreciated. (Check out what other customers have to say in my feedback!)

In the autumn of 2009 my God Mother surprised her husband with a cruise through the Panama Canal. Because she was having some trouble walking at the time she asked me to paint a cane for her to take along.
She wanted a cane painted with symbols that would speak of her love and dedication to God, something that would draw others into conversation with her, so that she could share her stories of faith.
And so was born, "Leaning on the Promises" Hand Painted Puzzle Canes!

Here's a beautiful brown, hard wood cane, with a hard plastic derby handle. It's 36 inches tall, and has hand painted Monarch butterflies and daisies.The base is cushioned with a rubber tip. Because I paint each cane individually, each one is guaranteed to be a one of a kind work of art.

The paints I use are high quality acrylic and it is sealed with several coats of oil based polyurethane.
This one also incorporates the bible verse, 2 Corinthians 3:17
"Where the Spirit of the Lord, is there is freedom."
Also included is a card that gives the answer to;
"How do you read a puzzle cane?"
Answer;
At the top, bottom and in between each painted panel, there is a gold rimmed circle. Inside each circle is a a phrase or a portion of a phrase. The first letter of each phrase or fraction of a phrase lines up directly under the golden eagle. Read around the circle, and when you get back to the first letter, skip down to the next circle. Repeat for each descending circle until you get to the last letter of the bottom circle. That’s all there is to it!
