If you’ve seen my tools and thought you’d like to make your own, this kit contains what you need to make both the standard size tool that uses 1/4" square bits and the small tool that uses 1/8" square bits. It also includes the sharpening block that you can use with your bench grinder to keep the bits sharp. Everything you need is included except the handles. Simply make the handles you want to complete your tools.

The tool bodies in this set are hard chrome plated, which is the same industrial process used for high wear applications like piston rings. This is not the shiny decorative chrome like on car trim, and it has a nice satin finish. It should last a lifetime.

The tool body is 4140 chrome-moly steel. The standard tool measures 9" long from the handle with a 3" tang. The standard tool main body is a 1/2" hex and the tang is 7/16 diameter. The micro tool measures 6 1/2" long from the handle with a 2" long tang that is 5/16 inch in diameter. The cutting bits are cobalt steel. These will cut like a laser. This kit includes the two tool bodies, Allen screws, Allen wrenches, cutting bits, magnets for holding the wrench in the handles (if you chose to do so), high strength epoxy packs and mixing sticks. Instructions are included to guide you through the handle making and assembly process. If you’d like to review the instructions before you buy just drop me a convo and I’ll send the .PDF files. The set also includes a sharpening block to keep the bits sharp and to regrind special tip shapes if you wish. It is made of black oxide coated steel and measures 1" by 2 1/2" and is 5/8" thick.
