I am totally smitten with the timeless style of black and white. Throw in bit of burlap and my heart beats a bit faster. Add the ability to customize and re-use for darn near any occasion and I’m bewitched. Give it a split personality for multiple styles and I’m a goner.
So of course, my Chalk Cloth had to be the focus of my new banners. Black & white, customizable and re-useable ... check, check, check. Grommets mean these banners can serve up fun style in soooo many ways, solo or part of a chorus line. I am totally over the moon in love!
And yes, that is cloth that is treated so chalk wipes off just like in grade school, but no scratchy fingernail issues! I've shown it with Chalk Marker as the printing is more vivid, there's no dust and it stays put until you wipe it off with a damp cloth. For your convenience, I offer my favorite (and I've tried many!) Chalk Marker in my "extras" section so no need to run around searching for one.
A few ideas just to get you started:
Tie one around a flower pot with your happy message or a table number
Tie two at the seats of honor to proclaim "Mr." and "Mrs." or "Bride" and "Groom" or "I Do" and "I Do Too"
String 3 as bunting on the head table with "Happily Ever After" or their names joined with a heart in the center.
Use one banner per table to designate the seat assignments. Hang them strung on one or two long ribbons suspended on a fence or wall, between shepherd's hooks, from a long twiggy swag ... whatever fits your reception stye and locale.
A long string of banners at the reception, personalized specifically for the happy couple, sets a festive tone and will certainly get the party rolling.

Each Banner measures 7-inches wide by 9.5-inches long overall. The Chalk cloth portion is 6 x 9-inches. The top 4 inches is reinforced with a stiffener between the chalk cloth and the jute. This assures that it is still flexible, but will keep it shape and hang flat and serve you well through many, many reincarnations and celebrations. The Chalk Cloth is stitched in place with subtle zig zag stitching all around. My premium jute (think standard burlap, but with longer fibers and a tighter weave) is serged all around so now raw edges to fray.
I added grommets in the upper corners to bring you oodles of creative fun. Do you want to bring a pop of color to your banner? Do you want to hang them all in a long row, or in tiers? Is your style streamlined and minimalist; or are frilly bows your style?
Since these are all about customizing and personalizing; and hopefully expressing your style, I’ll let you provide your own ribbon and extras. My pictures are styled just to give you some ideas. The ribbons, flowers and tags I’ve used are just a jumping off point for you; they are NOT included with the banners.
