Inspired by the markings of the Black Swallowtail Butterfly, this mask proves that one's wings need not be bright in order to be beautiful! The subtle tones and texture in this mask were meticulously carved to imitate the texture and pattern of a butterfly's wing.
Carved from 8 oz leather and painted by hand. It has been sealed with varnish and signed on the back. It is held to the face with graceful dancer's ribbon. Because it is made from leather, it should conform to most sizes of faces due to its flexibility.
