We met the spreader from some Swedes. They couldn't believe a woodworker wouldn't have these everywhere in the kitchen. I used it and loved it. Now I made them. The great thing is that I make them out of scrap wood that would be slated for my garbage can. I use various varieties of wood. They sell fast. I only have 2 at the moment and started the year with 50. I'm in the process of making more.
This one is made from snakewood. It measures 7" in length and 1 and a quarter inch in width.
It is sanded with many grits and many types to make this spreader pleasing to the touch. It is buffed with carnuba wax to protect the wood. It should be cleaned with hot soapy water and dried. No dishwasher. Enjoy.
