These marvelous boots were worn as wedding shoes sometime in the late 1800's to early 1900's. They are a muted army green with a wooden heal and delicate tapered ankle and toe. Authentic in era and full of charm. What a wonderful find!
Perfect period piece. Fabulous addition to your collection
In spite of their age, these lovelies are in sturdy condition, with a solid wooden heel and well maintained construction. The outside of the boots are leather, while the inside is backed by a thick canvas. The inner and outer sole are in good condition. Do not hesitate to step out in these !
Enjoy!
Size: According to the measurements, these would be considered a modern, U.S. size 8, however considering the narrow toe, I would wear these a size smaller. Size recommended for the best fit is a size 7 to 7.5. Please compare the measurements to a pair of shoes which currently fit you well and then go one to one half size smaller for comfort.
*please take the narrow toe into consideration when sizing*
Measurements:
Heel Height: 2.5"
Width (at widest part): 2.5 & 1/4"
Insole Length: 9.5" including the narrow toe
Condition: These lovelies do show their age. They are completely wearable, but should be treated with some care. They don't make things like this anymore! These little ladies could be around for many years to come. They are as pictured with scuffing in the heels and toes and may require new laces.
Glad you popped in!
