Description: The collaboration process is one opportunity that, when entered into with the hope and expectation which precedes any new endeavor, can feel like first love. I have found however, that when one or a number of partners come in with a bit more to offer than maybe some of others in the group, the joy can quickly turn to frustration and can be about as painful as a breakup. The idea of flying solo and spreading your wings fully can be exhilarating! At the same time, I believe that collaboration, when approached correctly can offer as much IF NOT MORE to the value of community as well as the individual’s identity. BUT the connection must be approached thoughtfully and with eyes wide open. IN these next pages, I will share the story of my first collaboration and offer some suggestions on how to keep your individual artist voice while also remaining a valuable member of the group. I hope you walk away encouraged by another way GOD gifts us with the love that can be found in community.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE WORKBOOK:
Through visuals, essays and exercises, you will work through your process facilitated by my own creative journey. Each week offers three SETS OF exercises to challenge you both creatively and spiritually.
The material is available in a format where you can go at your own pace. I have also included interviews with 4 Christian artists. If you fall behind or if you anticipate a prior commitment that falls within the course time frame, you can easily stop and pick back up at your convenience.
