As spring settles into the Pacific Northwest, I find myself grateful for the joyous carols of robins nesting. Without thinking about it, the other day I found myself saying thank you, robin for the lovely song. That will be the title for this choker length (16 inches plus a little) necklace featuring a wonderfully used serving spoon, thinned at the bottom from much stirring, cradling a nest of vintage wired pearl spray, a gorgeous Art Nouveau button, and the star of the show, a vintage celluloid robin. The necklace is a good quality vintage (50s I would guess) Monet linkage of garlanded leaves, and I have added a bit of asymmetric trim with a green freshwater pearl on a short chain.
