The earring wires are treated with Renaissance Wax. It is used by museums all around the word for it’s superior preservation qualities and it also protects those with sensitive skin by creating a barrier between the metal and your skin that will not rub off over time. You can wash this with soap and water as needed and the wax will not be affected.
