*Do you know about vanity sizing? There was once a store called I.Magnin. Here in Portland, Oregon a woman of the mid 20th Century might wear a size 12 when she purchased things at Meier and Frank. At I. Magnin the same woman would wear a size 8. Many women were dedicated I. Magnin shoppers simply because of size. It's just a number ladies and manufacturers change it on you all the time. Get out your tape measure and use the measurements provided below. An inch is always an inch an no matter your body type or weight. Find a dress that fits you here, or in my sister shop where dresses are categorized by waist measurement. http://www.etsy.com/shop/unionmadebride
Measurements...
I do not pin clothing on models, but prefer instead to show you my garments on people they actually fit. I'm more concerned with your actual purchase rather than selling you an unrealistic image. This suit is actually a little large on our 26" waisted model
Maillot:
~Bust: 34" stretches up to 38"
~Waist: 26" stretches to 30"
~Hip: 40" MAXIMUM
~Rise to center front: 22.5"
~Leg opening: 25"
Cover up:
~Bust: 34"
~Hip: 34"
~Shoulder to shoulder: 14.5"
~Length: 24.5"
Condition...
Good vintage condition. The cover up is in great shape, but the swimsuit has been well loved and it shows. The elastic ruched back is stretched out on each side. The elastic straps are quite overstretched as well. Loose threads here and there. Very wearable, but certainly shows it's age.
