These original embroidered drawings are inspired by my visits to one of my favorite places, the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge in Utah. They reflect that perfect peace I find there, watching these magnificent birds floating silently on the water, or spreading their huge wings and lifting as a group to sail through the air. I use photos taken at the refuge for reference.
These Tundra Swans are rendered in graphite, watercolor, and gesso, on tea dyed linen, and are embellished with embroidery and crochet. The work is 5.5” X 8”, with loops for hanging. Can be hung from a chopstick, dowel, pencil, paintbrush, etc.
Ships First Class USPS, carefully and artfully packaged. To be eco-friendly, I recycle and upcycle packaging whenever possible!
I try very hard to get my photos as true to color as I can; please be aware that all monitors are different and there may be some variance in color.
