It has a slim sexy shape, thin adjustable straps, a wide band of sheer flowery scalloped lace around the hem, a thin band of sheer flowery scalloped lace along the top of the back, and a butterfly-esque crossover band of sheer flowery scalloped lace accenting the bust.
Part of the fun of dyeing anything is the surprise of how things turn out. (Like snowflakes - or people - no two are ever exactly alike.) This came out of the bath a medium smoky gray.
It's not a true solid, meaning it has a couple darker and lighter spots - and in the case of this particular batch, little bits of blue and red sprinkled about - which is just the nature of the process.

Made by Vanity Fair
100% nylon (exclusive of trim)
Machine wash cold w/ mild detergent, delicate cycle; tumble dry low.
bust: 35"
length: 44" (with straps fully extended)
[Measurements are taken flat, then doubled - except for the length; for best fit, compare the measurements to a similar piece in your closet.]
This is marked a size 36. In terms of this type of lingerie I usually base fit on a woman's bra size. I wear a size 36 bra and this fits me; I'd say it's best for a 34 - 36" bust. Slips like these are somewhat forgiving though and can still look fabulous worn a little loose or a little tight - it really depends on how you plan to style and wear it.

At the hem, on the bottom left lace scallop there's a very small tear in the organza and an even smaller tear in the organza on the bottom right lace scallop.
Otherwsie in great vintage condition. This will arrive washed and ready to wear.
(PS: In case you're wondering about any "side effects" from wearing a hand-dyed slip around the house, or anywhere else - the pieces go through two fairly rigorous washings during the process which helps set the dye. To date I have never had any problems with bleeding or color transfer and I have two chairs covered in white fabric in my living room.)
