I love them and return to them as a muse time and time again.
This time its Moths.
I love butterflies too but moths always have that darker edge that Im more drawn to.
This moth has a set of clear wings made from plastic with the veins sewn in by machine,and another pair which are made from old cotton.
This moths fabric wings have a scene of the night sky with a cresent moon and stars which have been hand drawn on by myself.
The whole thing has been aged with a light tea stain wash.
Flaws and odd stitching are celebrated and are to expected.
Designed as a decorative object he is both charming and unique.
Hangs simply from a ring on the reverse.
He will be sent out recorded so can be tracked and signed for on delivery.
Nothing I make is designed to be given to a child/baby as they are very delicate items which contain wire and beads.
This moth is 34cm in width and length is 18.5cm (not including antennae!)
