All our vintage aprons are made from authentic antique patterns. We loved just opening up these old patterns and holding the yellowed tissue pattern pieces in our hands. It was stepping back in time. We made this from a very rare original vintage 1940's mail order pattern we found which featured an apron for each suit - hearts, spades, clubs and diamonds. Women wore them to their bridge club parties. Wouldn't you like to hear what those women talked about over the bridge table? Maybe you don't play bridge, but how about poker?
Take a look at our twin picture to see both the heart and the spade aprons http://etsy.me/p4DZE1 – We can't decide which suit we love more. You can also check out our shop to see the Queen of Diamonds http://etsy.me/p5ggG7 and the Queen of Clubs http://etsy.me/pjK5kz.
This lined apron is made from 100% quilter's quality cotton in a sweet, red cherry print and loads of white ruffling. With silky sateen 100% cotton red ties, it is completely adjustable and very flattering to all sizes, shapes, and curves. It can be machine washed on cool and machine dried on low.
We know you will enjoy this apron. It might be the perfect thing to wear greeting your sweetie at the door with dinner.
