Those of you who know my zines know by now that I do a lot of dorky stuff in my life and sometimes I like to write about it. Here we have a zine about the community garden club my mom and I belong to. This was fun/ny to write and fun to put together too because my pen-pal friend, the comics artist Mardou, made beautiful drawings to go with it. (Your copy is in the mail, Sacha!) I went half crazy last week finishing the layout and construction of this zine in time to "debut" it at the zine fest at Pete's Candy Store in Brooklyn. Which was also fun. It sounds like I'm a person with a lot of fun in her life but don't be fooled, I am sitting here right now with sweat running down my torso because it is so disgustingly hot and humid today. I have other complaints too, message me if interested.
The zine is 10 typewritten (then photocopied) pages long + cover. The inside paper is beige cardstock and the cover is this really gorgeous textured green paper I found at Dick Blicks. The size is 5.5" x 8.5", it's a long'un.
