We here at Wolfbird Studios understand that there are lots of different ways to approach the making of the golden snitch. So here is just one of our designs.
This version of the Golden Snitch is a locket! It actually opens and closes and on the inside in traditional Harry Potter font it says "I Open at the Close". It is printed with archival inks on archival paper and will not bleed! But do not go swimming with it!!!
Quidditch is a fictional sport in the Harry Potter book series. It is described as an extremely rough, but very popular, semi-contact sport, played by wizards and witches around the world. Matches are played between two teams of seven players riding flying broomsticks, using four balls and six elevated ring-shaped goals. The 4 balls are 1 Quaffle, 2 Bludgers, and the golden snitch!
The Golden Snitch, often referred to as simply the Snitch, is a small golden ball the approximate size of a walnut. In the films, the wings on the Snitch are gold, although in the books it is described as having silver wings.
Harry received a Golden Snitch from Dumbledore; the first one he ever captured playing Seeker for the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Scrimgeour was suspicious that something was inside the Snitch, as Hermione mentioned that they had flesh memories. It should be noted, however, that this property of Snitches was not mentioned in Quidditch Through the Ages. When Harry touched the Snitch with his hand, nothing happened. Because Harry caught the Snitch in his mouth, however, it needed to be touched to his lips, which revealed that it was inscribed with the message "I open at the close."
