Each bead is individually stitched in place and forms a tube. The tube is firm and will hold it's round shape and not collapse or flatten. The color change and light raised bead embellishments are inspired by the folds of the awareness ribbons.
The little slide is entirely designed, patterned and stitched in USA by Rosita Pisarchick.
Bead weaving is a noble ancient and traditional crafts requiring precision, patience and dexterity.

Originally I created this small slide with the intention of donating the proceeds of it's sale to the Komen Foundation, but from February 2012 and onwards, I choose to donate the proceeds to Planned Parenthood as the Komen Foundation decided to pull it's funding to Planned Parenthood and it's cancer screening activities.
