These pieces are recycling at it's best. The canvases are re-purposed from previous work I didn't like, the papers are recycled dictionary pages and scraps of craft paper, sheet music, sewing patterns all left over from previous projects. I don't throw away anything! And then the flower centers are vintage water faucet knobs and old rhinestone buttons. Everything but the paint is on it's second life. I love it!
This fabulous Sunflower and Daisy are done on 8x24x.75, gallery wrapped canvas frames that were covered in ephemera, lightly textured and white washed. The flowers are created by reassembling scraps of left of paper into new sheets of paper, painted and inked.
This is such a textural piece of art but at the same time, very simplistic. They would be beautiful in a cottage setting as well as an industrial setting or anything in between. Even the colors can take you from Spring through Fall. They can also be hung together or separately to spread the art around for a very cohesive design element.
It is hard to part with this set, so I may pull them at any time. They are truly 2 of my all time favorite works.
International Shipping to Everywhere Else: This is a high estimate and any and all overages will be refunded. I would be more than happy to work up a quote if you'd like, as close as possible anyway.
