The apron is made of cotton in a lovely mustard yellow fabric and black check. The combination made me think of a taxi, hence the name! There is a pocket on each side to keep what you need handy. The front panel is composed of box pleats from top to bottom, allowing the bust area some extra room if needed. The empire waist is very forgiving, and the pleats fan out from it giving a lovely look. The straps cross in the back and run through a sturdy ring, which is meant to be pull the waist band snug right under the bust to give the empire look. Because of this design, the apron is fully adjustable, even able to accomodate ample bosoms!
The length from top to bottom is 35", from waist to bottom is 27". The empire waist is 28" around and the straps, from the top of the apron are 55" each. (Enough to cross in the back, run through a ring on the waist, and then tie.)
This item was a part of the fabric destash challenge series on my blog, my goal was to use up this lovely yellow fabric! Read more about it here: http://aux-belles-choses.blogspot.com
