Our vintage aprons are made from authentic original antique patterns. We loved opening up these old patterns and holding these yellowed tissue pattern pieces in our hands. It was stepping back in time. We researched many vintage patterns ( most had the original factory folds and had never been used before) in search of an apron that is truly flattering to all sizes, shapes and curves. We found it in this vintage 1940's Marian Martin mail order pattern. Enjoyed on many different body types, it always gets a big thumbs up. With that lovely swing to the skirt, a hemline that dips to a point, and topped off with a sweetheart neckline, this apron is sure to please. It has lots of extra detailing including lace edging, contrasting ties, a lace edged heart shaped pink print pocket and wide pink bias trim.
It is made from 100 % quilter's quality cotton print with pink, yellow, white and purple flowers on a black background and chartreuse at the neck and ties. With chartreuse 34” ties at the back and 25" neck straps, it is a one size apron that fits almost everyone (size 2 to 16). Convo us if you would like a more generous size. On the practical side, it can be machine washed on cool and machine dried on low.
We enjoy this apron pattern so much that we offer it in two other fabrics: our Vintage Apron in Pink Hibiscus http://etsy.me/x2Dk1i and our Vintage Apron in Pink Leaves http://etsy.me/vsdoi5.
You may want to throw a dinner party just so you can wear this as a hostess apron.
We now offer a matching Oven Mitt in Pink and Purple Flowers! See it at this link: http://etsy.me/H2AwGB. (and our first photo)
