I've been saving all the scraps from recent projects in colors I love - lots of bright primary colors with white thrown in for contrast and punch. I've pieced them together in a grid of tiny squares to make this uniquely gorgeous baby or child's blanket. This blanket is sure to delight both mom and baby - both my boys LOVED looking at it as I worked on this quilt.
Use this as a crib quilt, picnic blanket, wall hanging, or favorite drag-around-the-house quilt (that's what ours are used for!). A completely unique piece of bedding that is meant to be used and loved and will last a lifetime. This would make a wonderful gift for that upcoming mystery baby - it is gender neutral and would work equally well for a boy or a girl.
Measures 34" x 34" (86 cm x 86 cm) and is filled with soft and sturdy cotton batting. I have machine quilted this blanket, backed it with a super cute tan and white polka dot fabric, and then hand-bound it using mitered corners for durability and a nice clean look.
All materials have been pre-washed in hypo-allergenic detergent to avoid shrinkage or bleeding of colors. As with all quilts, this will become softer and even more beautiful with use, and with proper care it will last a lifetime. Simply machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle and lay flat to dry. Warm iron if needed.
