This book, The Reformation, is part of the Great Ages of Man series put out by Time-Life Books in the 1960s. These are actually great glimpses into history, written largely by extremely reputable historians in the subjects the books in these series are about.

The Reformation dives right into the Protestant Reformation which reshaped Europe in the 1600s. This book, written by Edith Simon, details life during this period in Europe's history in exquisite detail, full of glossy photographs of archeological sites, color diagrams and maps, and photos of art and culture from the era.
