Here is another in my series of FANTASTIC BEAD MOSAICs..
but a PAINTED version this time..
this Sculptural work will
catch your eye..
She is from the Sea of Dreams..
her name is not known
On her head a tiny Crown..
and a Ships Wheel of Gold
encrusted over time with
shells and luminescent sealife creatures.
I call her "Neptune's Bride"...
She stands on a wooden GREEN pedestal.
As a former jewelry designer/manufacturer- I love to collect beads and make jewelry..
I started Collecting other items for these Mosaics in florida..
Then I moved to Maine.. and became a real collector ot items galore..
and......... people started giving me some items too.. which is always nice.
One person's junk is another one's Mosaics.. lol.
I utilize all sorts of things, glass, wood, clay, tools, junk, toys,plastic tacks, bead vials, pencils, eyeglass frames, combs, gelato spoons, office supplies,vintage jewelry, mosaic tiles, watchparts, rhinestones, vintage glass glitters, painted effects, gold leaf, bottle caps, collage paper art,then.......
My own art, beads, cabouchons,anything I could make, trip over, discover while walking with my doggie, buy from other etsians or artists, ETC etc etc. No way that I could list everything, because I use just about Everything! I should just call them
Everything Mosaics...
I decided to paint over this piece one day..
and a Sculpture emerged..
She stands about 15" tall...
