This necklace is made with authentic antique brass findings and an antique first communion pin. A tiny dogwood medallion embellishes the central medallion along with vintage rhinestone parts in shades of purple. The purple color is then echoed in the extremely old Victorian glass beads and several antique rosary beads, each bead hand linked by me. The linked glass chain also includes a beautiful antique hand cut Czech glass jablon. The clasp is made from a vintage necklace part which hooks on to more antique glass beads.
This necklace is 24" long with an added 2 1/4" drop. If you prefer it shorter, just leave me a note to seller. I am always happy to accommodate size requests.
Keep in mind that my antique mannequin is probably a size 6. (people were a lot smaller then!)
I can create simple earrings to match, just ask about pricing and I can create a custom listing for you.

Loosely, the legend of the dogwood tree comes from the story about Christs' crucifixion, and why the Dogwood, which used to grow big and strong, now grows small and crocked...with flowers shaped like the cross.
The best explanation I found was here:

Your Sacred Cake vintage assemblage necklace purchase will arrive in a lovely one of a kind keepsake gift box, hand embellished with layers of vintage wallpaper and delicate ribbon (please see last photo) and ready to give as a gift to yourself, or someone you hold dear. Earrings are on a lovely earring card.

Please see my customer feedback if you need a little more convincing!
