This luxurious yarn is extremely soft, light, and has a very distinct "halo" similar to angora. it gets softer with handling as well. It has a lighter feel and a different hand from cashmere, is extremely warm and insulating, and is completely ethical--this does not hurt the animal when it is harvested.
The mink is combed (same as an angora bunny) and the undercoat is what makes up this worsted weight hand-spun yarn.
The super light ,softness is nice as a scarf or shawl as it insulates without weight, and openwork really shows off the beauty of this yarn as it has lovely hand-made irregularities. See my other listings for SFG yarns.
