The peg drums are both hand-carved with faces and what looks like pineapples. They are carved all around and have a goat skin top. Some of the skin is separated at the pegs, but, the top is still tight ( One has a crack where the peg enters the drum although the peg is still tight) . Like the American bongo drum, they have a mellow like sound. The large drum is 21 1/2 inches high and the top is about 7 inches across. The small drum is 20 1/2 inches tall and has a 6 inch top. Due to their size, they have a slightly different sound. They are used and have some scrape marks from use, but, no cracks or repairs. The one drum has some letters scratched in the skin, but, I can not make out what it says.
