Such a charming skirt for a little lady...perfect for your favorite Adventurette! The "An A is Just Three Sticks" Skirt has a full bodied silhouette, elastic waist, and a super-cute apron layer, with pockets for collecting treasures. Of course, it is also super twirly...the first test my own daughter gives any new skirt...and it passed with flying colors. This skirt comes in my widest size range and depending on fabrics chosen and details in embellishment it can have a large range of possible looks.
This skirt has recently been updated to cut down on paper usage. You will receive a detailed tutorial that has become even more detailed while being at the same time more condensed. You will also receive all the measurements needed to cut out your skirt without using the full size patterns. However, if you would prefer a pattern over measurements the pattern pieces can still be printed out if desired. So now you have options! :)
All LilyGiggle patterns are computer drafted and are color coded to make them easy to put together and to keep sizes accurate. Each PDF also includes a very detailed tutorial with color photographs and diagrams demonstrating each step of creating the design. The tutorials are written with terminology explained so you'll know what it means to say things such as "right sides together". :) My hope is to create PDFs that will take away the frustration of using a traditional big box store pattern and put the fun back into sewing. If you do get hung up on a step using one of my PDFs I am only a CONVO away and ready to help you through it!
Although, it is explained in depth I would not recommend this as a pattern for the very beginner. It would be for the intermediate sewist. It is a lot easier than it looks, though!
