Picnic time!
Hawkeye, picnic basket from Burlington Basket Company is complete with 6 plastic plates and cups from Gothamware Plastics. Each plate is divided and has a center circle holder for the cup. There are also 6 stainless steal forks, knives, and a cheese knife. The flatware does not match, but I don’t think it will matter when you are enjoying your outdoor picnic or tailgate party!
The basket is a dark hunter green and natural weave. It has a sturdy, wood, hinged lid, with elastic on the inside to hold your utensils. The carry handles are metal. There is a convenient, removable tray on the inside to help organize and pack up your picnic items securely. The tray can be turned upside down and used as a handy spot to place your yummy cheeses and baguettes!
This is a very large, substantial picnic basket hamper. It measures 21” x 13” x 13” and weighs over 9 lbs.
It is in great vintage condition. There are a couple of dings on the lid, and the inside has a few marks from the tray, and a few spots on the inside bottom. A couple of the plates look like they may have come a bit to close to the fire while making smores! ~ there is an area that lost a little shape on the edge. Nothing that would make the plates unusable.
This vintage basket is just waiting to be filled with some fab wine, cheese and a loaf of french bread!
