With my tongue firmly in cheek, I named this one the Smug Hipster Owl. Maybe it's the star on the owl's chest, like a tattoo. Maybe it's the look on the owl's face. Or maybe it's the color scheme, which seems well-suited to a tweed vest and chunky glasses. This one is for the people who liked owls before everyone else liked owls.
Smug Hipster Owl necklace measures 18" with a 1 3/8" pendant, and fastens securely with a rhodium-plated pewter hook and eye clasp. Matching earrings measure just over 1", not counting the Sterling Silver earwires. The necklace is strung on sturdy nylon-coated steel beading cable for flexibility and durability. Smug Hipster Owl lives in a small forest. You've probably never heard of it before. She knew about all of your favorite bands before you did, but she doesn't really like them anymore now that they're so mainstream. She's still proud to be an owl, but it's so embarrassing to see all of her old friends hanging out at Urban Outfitters now. Secretly, you're probably just friends with her because she lets you know where all the best thrift stores are. But you've got to admit, she has a really great sense of style, even if she tops it off with glasses that have no lenses.
