These were created using the recycled, colorful plastic caps from medication/saline bottles typically found in the pre-hospital, and hospital settings.Though these caps have never come into actual contact with any patients, they were removed from medication bottles utilized during the treatment of real patients. It took me several years of working in an ER, and a lot of help from some wonderful people to collect them.
Even if you're not particularly medically inclined, you might still enjoy the fact that these caps say "FLIP OFF". I know I do.
This pair features large black flip off caps measuring 7/8 of an inch at their widest point. They say "MUST BE DILUTED" in white on the back. The inside of said caps has been painted with royal purple enamel, and a smaller white flip off cap, decorated with iridescent star-shaped beads, has been affixed to add even more pizazz.
Above them is a large raspberry colored ball-shaped bead with white stars, faceted iridescent crystal beads, and reflective black beads.
The hooks are made from surgical stainless steel, which I have found to be the least irritating for my ears. If you would like a different type, or style of hook... Just shoot me a message, and I'll create a custom pair!
Please be advised- because all of these items are handmade by moi, this means that there are imperfections. We worked *really* diligently to take the most accurate photographs possible, and the descriptions are simple + entirely honest.
Pricing is not decided at random. Each item is priced based on availability, and cost of materials, and quite frankly- how much of a pain in the you-know-what they were to create. I try to patronize other Etsy shops, and locally owned Richmond Va. businesses to find materials to work with to the extent that I am able.
