This print is special to me in two ways: as a child my parents would stop at virtually every fruit stand they saw along the road during our travels. I came to love the idea of super fresh produce and just the whole country setting of it all. When I decided to make this print, those memories flashed back.

At the time, I had done alot of screen printing, but none were printed with more than 10 screens or colors. I wanted the challenge of printing many more and a challenge it was! This print has 45 separate screens/colors. Both hand cut and photographic stencils were used. The shading was done with tiny dots, lights and darks and registration in lining up all the separate screens was key. I hand-lettered the price cards for the produce. The print is crisp and bright. I hope you like it as much as I did making it!
