Antique Paymaster check writer with five dollar columns and two cent columns. It is in excellent condition. The soft teal color is fantastic. There is some ink that will not come off on the front bottom, though it doesn't take away from the use or beauty of this piece. Prints in both the red and black ink. The back reads Paymaster Series X-550, Price: $134.50 - 7 Column, F.O.B. Chicago, The Paymaster Corp., 1811 W. Winnemac Ave., Chicago (40) Ill. There is a serial plate with the number 87C154698. The front lower flap opens to reveal the keys and the ink rollers, and there is a repeat knob. The Dollars and Cents knobs move up and down to print the exact amount desired. It is very heavily constructed. Weights 15 pounds. It is being sold as is. I do not know if it works although, all the levers and buttons work. Ribbons are available for these machines if you check online sites. This object also comes with a plastic cover that is intact but, has a very worn look to it.
Measures: 6 1/2 inches tall. 8 3/4 inches deep, bottom surface.
