I have a serious love for all things made by Vera... her fabrics are among my all time faves. This is a great example of her killer use of color and pattern. It's a soft midweight cotton top with a zip up the back and the option to wear the collar open or closed at the top with a hook and eye. There is a small amount of fraying at the base of the v-neck where the red thread is worn and it looks as though a slight tear was repaired. The piece is gently worn overall, no other serious flaws but not exactly crisp and new feeling either. I love the white edging on the pattern that really makes the color pop. There are darts at the bust and open flares at the wrist and on each hip. This is an early Vera piece from the 60's with the ladybug on the label... it's rare to find a cotton top like this as most things you find are made from 100% polyester.
